I'm sorry but if I I was in George's shoes I'd be snapping Warrington's hands off. Its a short career.

What's he going to do to get in the World Cup team this year, I'd be surprised if that was at Warrington who surely are up to the cap.

It’s a shame if we lose out purely on cash but you have to draw the line somewhere I guess and Moran’s pockets are very deep when it comes to investing in the Wire.

I can’t see us bringing another half in now, though I don’t think anyone would say no to Sezer. Just a shame another player will count a lot more on our cap which means less to invest elsewhere.

I'd be mortified if he signed for Wire. I think he is the best British halfback we have. We have first refusal on him and can pick him up with only £75K on the cap? Hastings and Leuluai going and potentially French?

Surely if Williams signs for the Wolves then there are serious cash flow issues at Wigan, especially as only £75K of his salary would be counted on the clubs salary cap limit (So its clearly not a salary cap problem by Wigan re signing him)

Might not be that. We might have other irons in the fire for next season and other deals are already in place. I doubt it but who knows. I said it earlier in the thread, Do i want Williams back? yes, Would i lose sleep if he went elsewhere? Not really. He is a good player but i don't think he is a match winner.

Other irons in the fire?
Who can Wigan possibly sign to replace Hastings and also instead of re signing Williams (who will only count as 75K on the clubs cap?)

He will only knock the second highest earner down to none marquee status thus all their wages counting on the cap.

Not necessarily. Wigan May have offered a fortune but still £100k less than wire. If Wigan offered £450k a year (random number and I’m not suggesting this is the case) but Wire offer £550k then I don’t blame him going for it. It doesn’t reflect on Wigan’s financial position, just their realistic approach to a players worth. The £75k salary cap is irrelevant really.
