After me questioning signings like Clubb last off season I'll trust Wanes judgement on any player. If the lad from Wakey is good enough for Wane and his staff that'll do for me.

He's certainly got some size. If he's got the application/want to do well then Wigan will get it out of him.

You think Clubb has done well NK?He has probably surpassed expectations but that's because they where so low IMO.I still see that as a very strange signing.

When played up front Club has been excellent in my opinion big meters quick play the ball and low error count.

are you kidding? he was our best meter maker before he got injured i believe. He was looking international class the 3 games before the injury. He is defiantly a prop though and not a 2nd row or centre. Also really strong in defence, I would struggle to choose who to start out of flower, taylor and clubb.

Another 'under the radar' signing if it comes off.

Can't say I have heard of this guy but we do seem to be very good at buying players and then improving them.

He has certainly exceeded expectations but I'm not sure about being international class.

the stats would appear to back you up. 4 tries and averages over 8 metres a carry. only 5 pens against as well.
looks to me like he's had a pretty good season has Mr Clubb

Tautai has pretty good stats in a poor team. 7.66m a carry, 7 pens, but with only 7 missed tackles and 21 offloads.
Suggests he would add an attacking dimension to our game which we lack at the moment, with an impressive defence.

Over the last few weeks a few on this forum (myself included)have questioned why has Hopkins not been given a chance considering the injury situation we have had.
Tonight I was going out for my usual couple of pints when I spotted a Leigh supporter who was going to a function in Leigh, whilst he was waiting for his bus I had a chat and asked him how Hopkins was going and was there a reason why Wigan had not used him.
He said that he was going well and then he told me the following, last week Shaun Wane was at function in Wigan as a guest speaker and later in the evening he was asked by a Leigh supporter who mixes with both sets of players why had Hopkins never figured for Wigan this season.
Shaun is reported to have said 'he is not being considered because he does not train hard enough', the Leigh supporter asked does that mean that Leigh can have Hopkins for the rest of the season, Shaun is said to have replied 'has far as I am concerned yes'.

This seems to fit in with a story posted on this forum by a well respected poster a few months ago about Hopkins and Hampshire having to walk back from Orrell to the centre of Wigan in full training gear as punishment for turning up late for training.
