We have an outstanding 13 for next season if rumours are to be believed, it is a bit strange that we are completely revamping a complete double winning squad though!:

Coach - Kurt Sorenson
Assistant Coach - Shaun Edwards

1. Minichello
2. Briscoe
3. Yere
4. Hardaker
5. Lineham
6. Locke
7. Leuluai
8. Kafusi
9. Hodgson
10. Blair
11. Bateman
12. Whitehead
13. Tuson

Shame about Charnley going to the NRL, Farrell to union and Bowen retiring.

It's a rumour thread mate. Get over it.

Hardaker would be an excellent signing, as to expect Bowen to play more than 15 games next season is in my opinion optimistic. Hardaker could rotate wing or centre when Bowen is playing, and then step up the year after.

From watching the world cup games so far, has anybody identified any players that would be ideal for our team? A winger maybe? A hooker? Or even a centre?

Obviously star names ask for star prices, and are possibly less realistic in terms of availability.
Anybody seen any talent that should be looked at?

josh mantelato (sp) plays for the newcastle nights very similar to george carmont, turned pro late in life and only played 1 game last season and in the final season of his contract.

Also the number 9 with dreadlocks from papa yesterday or pita godnita (sp again) out of contract i believe.

Aiden Guerra looks a good centre. Was very much the stand out player for Italy v Wales. I think he's at the Roosters tho so not sure of his availability. Centre still concerns me somewhat. I agree with the comments on Mantelatto, looks good with the high ball and can kick the leather out of it!!

I'm not saying he wouldn't be an excellent signing. I'm saying it's not going to happen, because he's got his favourite position nailed down at one of the top 3 clubs in SL, so it doesn't really make sense for him to go to Wigan to get shuffled between wing and fb. Like I said before, when was the last time you saw a player under 30 with a starting spot held down go from one top 5 club to another? I can't think of even one example off the top of my head within the last 5 years, especially not a player who just signed a new contract last year. Bowen will be our fb with Tierney/Hampshire as backup, Burgess on the wing with Manfredi as backup

One of the starting second row with SBW with the Roosters, would be difficult to sign a NRL players who plays regular first team.

This might be realistic, he can't get a game for the knights, could be looking for regular first team action, looks to have similar style to pat and build, and he can kick.

Could be ideal.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

IMO we are only a winger short of a full squad next year:

Fullbacks: Bowen, Tierney, Hampshire, Sarginson
Wingers: Charnley, Burgess, Manfredi
Centres: Goulding, Thornley, Gelling, Hughes, Lloyd, Sarginson
Halfbacks: Green, Smith, Powell, Williams, Sarginson, Hampshire
Props: Flower, Dudson, Powell, Taylor, Hopkins, Crosby, Clubb
Hookers: McIlorum, Tomkins, Powell
Second Rows: Hansen, Farrell, Pettybourne, Lloyd, Hughes, Burke
Loose Forwards, O'Loughlin, Farrell, Burke

Plenty cover in all positions except winger where we only have 3 to cover the 2 positions I suppose if we were desperate gelling could cover there but I'd rather not go down that route again. A goal kicking winger would be ideal.
