'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.' Shaun Wane's post-Grand Final speech. 5th October 2013.
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
This is not a pop at the op but bans need to be started to handed out if a thread like this is made i'm sick of opening the forum and seeing briganties this and that i'm here to talk about rugby not about what scarf they have got out there is a thread about them use that
Brigantes. Ultra sounds like football hooligans, and I don't care what anyone says, put the definition up all you like, but that is the impression that the majority get. I love what the Brigantes do, bought Brigantes scarf last year and went to the fundraiser night, but it just seems that they have divided. Some want Brigantes and some seem intent on breaking away and just doing whatever they want.

Think a bans a bit harsh. As I have stated, I started the thread out of curiosity, not to start some kind of war.
Feel free to delete or lock the thread Mods if that would be best.

Dont be ridiculous. It seems to be fine if people talk about how great the Brigantes/Ultras (or whatever they are called this week) are but any criticism, no matter how small or constructive it is, and people react in a complete over the top reaction like this. It was similar on the swearing thread last week with Brigantes members belittling peoples genuine concerns because they thought it was big and clever to chant songs with swear words in it when there were easy compromises/alternatives.
I dont like the way they purposely set out to be so devisive and have a if you are not with us you are aginst us attitude. Many of peoples fears and concerns could have been sorted out at the start of the year, it really didnt take much. However as far as I can see it there is absolutely no compromise, no taking on board peoples concerns and a general screw you we will do as we please attitude to the rest of the supporters.

It's comments like that that exacerbate the issue, especially when the OP raised a valid question in a totally non-confrontational way and even complimented the Brigantes! Just like the swearing thread when a couple of posters jumped in to claim it was a Brigantes-bashing thread when they hadn't even been mentioned. Perhaps there's a bit of victim mentality going on.
