I wouldn’t jump at the chance to re-sign him again however I wouldn’t rule it out. I know most of his games he was shocking but the one game against Huddersfield showed us how devastating he can be against a team.
I’m sure before he left Wigan we had a discussion with him about the possibility of returning. I’d see if we could get him on a reduced wage (probably a long shot) maybe see whilst he’s recovering if he could possibly coach/nurture the young props coming through. Then progress into building him back up into games. We still could get a few good years out of him.

One factor that makes me think we’d be daft not to consider it, even if we had to put him through all sorts of tests to give us confidence he can make the comeback is just the sheer lack of quality props knocking about. Where do we get one from? I can’t see any real viable options in Superleague and there seems a lack of potential options down under. I’m not saying we pick him up on silly money again but if you can get him for a third of the price and put him through his paces prior to signing then you never know.

Reduced deal with a 2nd year option in our favour, if he comes through the first season unscathed then he gets the pay upgrade his status deserves.
Worth the risk with the shortage of quality props available, not as much pressure on him either not being on a long term marquee deal like last time, hopefully he can get back to something like the player he was.

Adam Reynolds doesn't have a contract. Doesn't mean we would get him or be able to afford him.

For the right money and provided we had done stringent checks, I wouldn't be against replacing Clark with GB.

It’s the cost I’d be wondering about. I think we need two anyway, so if one of those such as Isaac Liu cost a fair whack and Burgess did come back in on a reasonably low salary, than I’d say happy days. Guys like Liu and Lui aren’t the biggest as well, so you do run the risk of ending up with similar forwards to what we have now. I don’t know much about the middle two. Tolman I would say is past his best and more of a workhorse than somebody to punch holes in teams. Aaron Woods could be a decent signing but I’ve always had this nagging feeling that he’d end up as the next Josh Perry or Keith Galloway over here. A reasonably big game, coming in on decent money and just flopping.

As an aside the Clubb incident may well have a detrimental affect on our ability to sign anyone of Polynesian descent

Dunamis Lui was a star for the Raiders last season and Canberra fans can't understand why he is not in the side.

Isaac Lui is one of the best forwards in the NRL.

Agreed. Even if potential Polynesian signings do think he's racist (I don't, I think they'll think he's a bit ignorant just like most of us do) he won't be here anyway.
