To the point that you have to wonder if it is simply tactical and I think it probably is. I think we’re just looking to not give a 7 tackle set away, to kick high and give the chasers time to get there and to keep the ball in play as much as possible, as they feel confident that our fitness will outlast opposition sides.

I think this is even playing through in our last-tackle plays on the opposition line. Counted a few times against Hull when we we ran on the last play on their line rather than kicking. Might just be a coincidence, but I suspect it will be tactical to not risk the extra tackle and to have them pinned back.

Besides the extra tackle, I think it's about keeping the ball in play so they don't keep getting a rest. Their forwards keep having to jog back and get into position to help by tackle 3. That eventually takes its toll later in the game.

It makes sense. Our plan with the ball seems to be about keeping it simple and completing sets.

Hastings can at least kick it high and far but I would like if he could get it in the ten more often like gale and fages do.

Basic rugby league with a high completion rate wins most games. We have the personnel to score points our forwards just need to get us in the right area of the pitch on a regular basis.

At least Hastings' kicks are a lot higher than Tommy's, and might give chasers half a chance, but yes, kicking deep is clearly a tactic.Which has been successful so far.

One of the commentators mentioned it on the radio i think during last weeks game. They were saying that it was a good kick as giving defensive line chance to get up and into the opposition players face / possibly challenge for the ball

Canberra papers now saying Warrington are favourites to sign Williams. I know we’ve heard it all before but interesting to see what happens with this, he’s a cracking player.

Didn't we have this with Sam Tomkins before he signed for us? I'm sure there were loads on people 'in the know' telling everyone how he was going there.
