A fully fit Fifita of a couple of years ago without off field issues is a no brainer, I still think we wait this 'Burgess issue' out and perhaps replace with a quality forward without the baggage.

A definite no no for Fifita. His recent and past antics, p!ss poor attitude and serious fitness issues. Literally nothing worthwhile signing. I’d sooner bring back FPN.

Is he any different than many of the other well known sports stars, politicians, tv presenters and other celebrities etc who are ignoring the resrictions?

And judging by the number of fines being given out by the police, many members of the public are also doing likewise!

Regardless of whether we want him (I don't, at this stage he isn't talented enough to make up for being such an idiot) I doubt Woods, Shorrocks and Hankinson have created a Fifita-sized hole in our salary cap. If you're wanting an addition this season I'd be looking at players who are in the Championship or struggling to get gametime at an SL club. To be fair we probably have a better success rate with getting props that way compared with bringing them in from the NRL!

I know we went through this already but I think KR was already taking that into account when he said we're close to the cap. It's not like these things all get sorted within a day and the club announce it straight away, so I'm working under the assumption he knew (or had an idea) Greenwood was going when he said that. Does anyone know the length of time between him saying we're close to the cap and Greenwood's departure being announced? I dropped Wigan TV or I'd check myself. Greenwood was 10/12.

Edit - I've checked. Greenwood's departure was already announced when KR said we're close to the cap and unlikely to make any new signings. The only changes since he said that were Woods, Ja.Shorrocks and Hankinson leaving/loaned out. The difference between their salaries and the new 23rd, 24th and 25th highest earners is probably only a few grand off the cap IMO even though it's more off the wage bill.

Hankinson is a player I feel has been unlucky - I do not recall him having a bad game when he has played (although not standing out either) and never seemed to have a longer run in the team to show what he could do as sometimes it takes a few games for a player to really settle into the team. Perhaps a loan can give him a chance to show what he can do.
