He had a poor 2021, which was much the same for every player but I’d cut him some slack this season. Yes he was poor last night (again who wasn’t?) but I think he’s had a really strong start to 2022 and has been much more like the Bateman we know.

He needs support imo. You look at the Canberra side that Bateman ripped it up in and it had big guys in there helping him out. If you've got lads punching holes and other options, then that gives Bateman room to get going.

So it’s 5-8 games by the looks of things for Ellis. That is a real blow. I can’t recall the Singleton incident.
Time for Mago to step up and do longer minutes and hopefully Havard is back. If that’s the case we should be able to cope.
