Always feel this is one of the dullest, most uninspiring fixtures of the season. When they're playing well - they're boring. When they're playing badly - they're boring. No away support, no atmosphere and all a bit of a snorefest. There will likely be a big response to the Leeds defeat though so hopefully we can play well with the ball and come away with a good win.

Weird isn't it, always feels as a speccy like a game to get through rather than look forward to, weather forecast not great either, come away with a win and then forget about it, job done

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

I still have nightmares of the 2008 game when they came to us & properly thumped us. That was the "you're not fit to wear the shirt" game. Utter shambles from Lockers et al (improved afterwards, but the only time I've walked out early in disgust).
Don't count yer chickens just yet. They'll be sulking from last week & we need to make sure everyone's on the ball & don't underestimate them.
(Although I agree with the dire support they send over every game. They managed a turn out for the Whiners, so there are some puddin's that give a stuff, just can't be ar'd to drive over the bump).

If you look at the 21 man squad they’ve named they’ve got a pretty steady side on paper and should be closer the top than bottom, hopefully last weeks thumping doesn’t spring them into life.

I had a similar thought hoping this week isn’t the one that clicks for them.

Not as confident in Wigan as I was last year.

Think we’ll be same again. Nsemba is knocking on the door though, hatrick for the reserves. Hopefully he’ll get a game soon.

Agree with previous posts about this never being an exciting fixture, but I'm actually looking forward to it.

I have concerns about our pack in wet weather football. We've shown that we can raise the intensity and our strike in the backs will always make us dangerous, but in weather like this when the game will be played 90% through the middle I have concerns based on past games which hopefully we can answer some of tonight.
