I've missed it.
Any highlights from those who saw it would be appreciated, no worries if no one can be arsed though
I think it can be watched back on Wigan TV if you have it mate. There wasn’t too many juicy bits really but from the top of my head-
-Matt Peet and the club are far from happy with the ban Ellis got and even more so that Dezaria got less. Peet said a member of the RFL disciplinary panel also thought the Ellis ban was OTT. We have a week to decide what to do on it, so I presume that means whether to appeal or not.
-Ellis himself extremely remorseful for the brain snap and has put himself up to do lots of community work over these next few weeks.
-We’ll take up a one year option for 2023 on KPP. I didn’t take that as particularly good news, as I’d rather hear he’s signing a new long term deal.
-Field will stay at fullback when French is back. French will be eased in from the bench and play on the wing. More interestingly Peet said they may then look at Field and French rotating between 6 and 1. The interesting part of that to me is that may mean Cust plays some minutes at 9 (although they didn’t mention that would be the case).
-Expect to lose 700k this year. Season tickets up on last year but down on pre pandemic levels.
-MD of our new sponsor flew from Boston to be at Catalans at the weekend and will be there tomorrow.
-long term deal to continue at the DW all in place and with the lawyers. It’s a good deal for all parties Lenagan says.
-The France trip wasn’t a jolly and Lenagan not happy people described it as such. They think plenty of good will come from it over the course of the season.
-Some guy wants the club to use Michael Flattley as an inspiration, with him having agreed to donate proceeds of his new Riverdance tour to Ukrainian refugees and organise a charity match with other local clubs at St Pats (dreaming big there).
There were some other bits and bobs that have slipped my mind.
