On a completely different note, looks like Wellington is the only squad member named in any of the post season international squads. He's been named in the PNG 21 for Sunday, but surely he will part of our squad for Toulouse?

Paul misses out for the Cook Islands, I assume as he is still injured.

Is he cleared to play in Fance ? Just asking as I read some of our Pacific Islands could not travel to France for the league match owing to Visa issues?

Yes that is an issue as when we previously played Toulouse this season, Wellington Albert,
Emmanual Waine and Henry Raiwaliu were not allowed to travel.
If this issue has not been resolved by now, then it is an absolute disgrace..

Best I can find is that PNG residents need to apply for a short stay visa 15 days before arriving in France. I doubt the RFL have been bright enough to find a work around to this so looks like our under strength side will have to take on Toulouse.

Ah s*** I had completely forgotten about this.

Just looking at Bradford's squad from last week and Kevin Appo travelled and played so maybe no longer an issue? He's been over here roughly the same amount of time as Manu so I don't see how he would be able to play and Manu and Welly not.

Surely Henry is an Aussie passport holder anyway, as he was born in Sydney?

I think we should refuse to travel. Covid may not be an issue but those French bedbugs are worse.

Found something else about entries to France which suggests that visas not required for stays of less than 90 days which seems to cover certain work activities including sports. Whether that supercedes the bog standard PNG requirement for a visa is anyone's guess.

Alarm set for this Monday morning.....I am genuinely worried that we win and Hughes won't bankroll us properly and we will get mullered all year, but the reality is we are a better side than Toulouse (with or without the overseas guys) and we should win this by 3 scores!

Well they are in the 21 so at least we go with our best possible team.
