I can definitely see a good player in him, however he looks very much a confidence player and unfortunately for him he has had a couple of games with basic errors, he hasn't fit into the side quite as well as I expected him to, again unfortunately for him Max Jowitt came in and started playing out of his skin so I am not sure the plans for Walker going forward.

| League Express stating that Wakefield want to keep him for next season, potentially offering a swap deal. No thanks, our squad is weak enough as it is

| We do have history of releasing players from their contracts but we should tell Wakie it will cost them north of £1.5million if they want to sign him.
Interestingly does anyone know if we received a loan fee for the time he spent there as happens in football?

| I would have guessed no, if we were paying him wages then I would have expected they cover that. (i know we were prob not due to furlough). Probs helps us him getting some rugby under his belt.

Not sure why you would say no thanks without knowing the players involved?
From what I hear of the proposed deal it looks to me like London get the better deal.

| Because as it stands, imho, we have a squad that would struggle to challenge in the Champ. Last season I thought we were understrength. Since then we have lost or are rumoured to be losing Butler, Fozard, Norman, Armitage, Smith, OAB and Pellisier. We have so far replaced them with 5 kids (not knocking that at all). If we want a player from Wakefield then great, but lets not sacrifice one of our best players to get him.

| It is probably Alex Walker that they are offering. A player who cannot be happy with his lot at Wakey and we could possibly get back without losing Battye.

Our CEO, Michael Carter, is on record saying he would have liked to have kept Eddie, but London said no, and out of respect Trinity did not pursue the matter. We have said no to other clubs enquiring of our own players, therefore, we won’t pursue anyone, once the parent club says no. As a trinity fan, I was sorry to see London relegated on the last day at our place,

I believe MC said they had put a few offers to London to sign Battye possibly involving player movement. I don’t believe he had said they have all been rejected yet and it sounded like there may be some hope a deal can be done.
He definitely did say that if the answer was no then they wouldn’t pursue beyond that and things would be done above board only.
