He's an idiot who if left to his own devices would blow millions on Salford, create a massive gap at the top and probably put some clubs out of business in the chase for success by spending well above their means. We're light years behind Australia with regards to players, tv contracts, wages and money and increasing the salary cap to compete with the Aussies would be a disaster.

I am not sure Kookie would have been able to use the marquee rule Brearley as I read it, it is based on club income and expenditure so I doubt whether any chairman putting money into a club would be able to class it as income.Yet sillier things have happened.

He is a clown, but I think he has a point regarding the way the sport is run. We are going backwards, smaller crowds, silly mid week fixtures, international game getting even less popular, no big sponsors or TV deals when compared with so many other sports. If RU can grow than so should we, IF run well.
