After watching the reserves today i would like to thank him for his commitment to Leigh centurions and will be very sad to see him leave,both myself and Frank B thanked him for the last couple of seasons and he made one young lad very happy when he gave him his boots.Would like to wish him good luck for the future and think he has a lot more to offer the game but unfortunately not for the centurions

I agree. Our loss someone else's gain, he'll be one former player who will come back to haunt us at another club. It will be interesting who eventually replaces Donlan at fullback.

I wish the lad all the best for the future, and thank him for all the effort he has put in at Leigh.

Johnny Pownall is the lad being 'groomed' to succeed Donlan.

Mort was unhappy anyway as he wasn't getting into the 1st team and probably wouldn't had he stayed which is sad ,i wish we could have seen more of him in the 1st team its the only way to improve your game playing at a higher level

Nice lad is Morty but is he good enough??? I and more importantly Basil don't think so thanks for all your efforts and good luck for the future. No room for sentiment in proffessional sport we have done that for too many years!

Ive got to agree, Stu Donlans has maybe one more year, Morty should stay as cover and take over the reins after Stu leaves. I too wish ian all the best for the future.
