He's been given a one year deal, make it count and best of luck to him. We are still very short of a full squad with reserves on the horizon also and back in Championship. A sensible signing for me.
Jack has plenty of pace, is a very good goal kicker, and also has age on his side. I am sure that in the Leigh side that is taking shape at the moment he will do well. He did seem to lose some confidence at Saints, particularly when he first arrived there. Sometimes things just don't go your way but the answer is to keep working and believing in yourself. I will keep the faith re Jack, and I welcome him to Leigh Centurions
Who remembers Luke gale at Bradford or London in his younger days? We are in the championship building for a SL return and are recruiting hungry young players, I would hope all have the same attitude as yours itchy because getting slagged off before you play at your new club doesn't help confidence
Cunningham clearly sees something in him, seemed to have great reviews coming through the age groups so let's see what he gives to the club - welcome aboard the good ship Leyth
I am sure I heard last season that he was either the fiancee, partner or husband of Cunninghams daughter, Owen's after being a regular lost his place in the Saints team when Cunningham very rightfully was dismissed from his job. If my information is correct and it is right he has been given a one year contract, I would bet my bottom dollar that is on Cunningham's insistence, personally I dont think either KC or JO are any good at their jobs, both of their immediate records would substantiate that.

That's what I like to see, a bit of positivity
Owens has a decent record for his age, plenty of top level games and points behind him, admittedly the bits I saw of him at saints weren't brill but to write him off at this stage and our level is a bit much. We are building a champ squad here to get us back and keep us in the promised land not the Aussie national team
Not sure Cunningham has ever been director of rugby before(or whatever his title is), but he appears to be getting rid of a lot of dead wood (some decent ones as well IMO), but I would reckon the wage bill has been slashed big style and we are still building a squad that could play competitively at SL level

KC coach record was consecutive semi final losses in close games, there are worse records out there, his mistake was doing it at the club he was a hero at instead of cutting his teeth elsewhere. Every coach has favourites, look at Toronto for that, but a one year prove yourself deal for a 23 yo with 90 SL games is a good deal for all

That was the rumour, however it proven not to be the case.
KC certainly rates him, but how much that was seeing him play alongside Percival as a kid, not the player he's turned into, we will never quite know. What I do know is that he was asked to play the game at a level he either wasn't ready for or capable of as Saints, and he received a lot of unwarranted flack from the Saints fans for it. In the middle 8s he may well be able to do the job.
Dawson, Richards, Owens (and Lee and Bailey is the rumours are true) all were KC favourites. The interesting thing is whether Jonah, his son will be brought to Leigh. He 4th in line at the moment at Saints at a critical time.
