Challenge Cup Final 2024 Announced Wembley Stadium will stage another feast of Rugby League including the Betfred Women's and Men's Challenge Cup Finals on Saturday June 8 in 2024 – reverting to an earlier slot in a restructured calendar. Tickets will go on sale next week for an event which will also include the fifth AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final and the inspiresport Champion Schools. Too early in the season for me I'm afraid.
I understand the need for a gap between the CCF and GF, but end of July (or even mid July) would have been my choice - even if some people miss it because of hols.
End of July is 2.5 months before the GF.

In that case I think it needs to be considered moving it away from Wembley, in recent years it’s not looked good on TV seeing so many empty seats and if what you say happens it’s only going to look worse.

sat june the 8th would be the end or middle of some school holidays, so you're still ostensibly in a holiday period there.

Early rounds are gonna be rough.

Hopefully they will address, for me, the elephant in the room..... the yawing gaps between rounds and then a short break between semi and final leaving very little time for casuals to organise and in many cases club fans to get themselves organised properly. The most noticeable example being when we played Catalans and Les Cats fans having huge difficulties arranging flights / transport / hotels at such short notice..... contributing to the disappointing turnout. Overall, I think the Challenge cup has lost it's magic and needs some kind of revamp. The pretty much total lack of promotion for the 1885 cup final was also appalling.

I heard at Wembley it was June 8th.
I’m happy with that, it works for me.
I was completely against the August bank holiday week because it was watered down with the new wendyball season, because of rail issues and too late in the season to make a defining difference to the 2 RL competitions, the final almost overlaps into the playoffs.

I think most of the dates RL gets for competitions are governed by outside forces such as the availability of the stadium & tv schedules. Be better at Old Trafford when the football season has finished.
