Positive update from DP on Wrench, could be back playing as early as Hull KR (H) on 12th May, but I'd think a reserves game that weekend would be more likely.

Hopefully he can put some pressure on Ratchford and stake a claim for a starting centre spot in 2024.

Can't wait to see him back. Should be our first choice centre when we have a fully fit squad.

Can see Wrench and King at centre next year, with Ratchford as a utility role.
Still not convinced we'll just get rid of king, he even said he didn't leave in a bad way so could still see him back in a wire top.

That may be King's view to the press but might not be the club's view. Something needs to be resolved as it's money down the toilet paying for him to play else where.

It is, but at least it doesn't affect our salary cap. I can't believe King would come back (either want to or be asked to), we may well be supplementing his Wigan salary for the next 2.5 years.

I don’t think King will be playing at Wire as long as DP is coach. I don’t think there was a ‘bad terms’ with KF, but the board is backing DP 100%.

Toby king can be moved onto someone else on loan next year if he and Wigan don't come to a settlement with Warrington... It's a matter of Wigan and king deciding what they want permanently rather than just thinking Warrington will just continue to subsidize a Wigan contract for another two yrs

I’ve not seen anything to suggest King will make a top class centre, despite him being included in the England squad. We are just short of quality homegrown players in that position.

However, he may prove us all wrong, and if he does then I’ll be happy for Powell to give him another chance. Can’t see it happening though. Doesn’t seem to have the motivation to be anything more than a strong runner with an offload game. Oh and he can catch high balls of course. Maybe he can one day make a second rower.
