Agreed about the youngsters. So far, Powell has followed the Steve Price route of occasionally including young players in the squad, only for them to then either not make the 17, or to get on the bench but play very few (or zero) minutes. Thomas being named on the bench and then not being brought on at all was very reminiscent of Price's tenure. It feels like we just lack faith in the youngsters too often.

Well this time faith is irrelevant he really needs to let them play and gain experience of playing in the first team. And as previous poster says no point in playing the guys that are leaving.

No wonder were collapsing when the bench is being used in such a strange way. Agree that the coaching set up lacks the belief in the talent from our academy.

With these inclusions ,DP will probably rotate off a squad of 15 & leave his youngsters twiddling their thumbs.

In the old days avoiding relegation was a cause of mass celebration so I suppose feeling deflated shows how far we have come…

I can remember avoiding relegation for a cricket team. The next day we had a champagne breakfast in the garden followed by a full days p!ss up. It is not the answer to spread doom & gloom. We have lots of new players & youngsters in the team and they don't deserve such cynicism.

Yep ... each to their own. But in my, humble, opinion being cynical & negative with almost all decisions does not help our club.
Just to clarify I am not totally over the moon myself with our season.
We have picked a team with lots of youngsters which is what most wanted ... so that is good isn't it? You have to be very careful about throwing youngsters in who are physically not ready (and can get hurt) against a pretty tough Huddersfield team.
