What a start pretty poor in every department and there's not too many in the P&B that can look themselves in the shaving mirror tomorrow with any sort of satisfaction so i'll leave the punditry there as our woes are painfully obvious

a) Score and Winning team: Castleford 21 v 12 Warrington
b) First try (Wire player): King
c) Time of first try: 4 mins
d) Last try (any team, player not time): Austin
e) Kicks over the sticks (combined): 3

f) St Helens v Salford St Helens by 23
Leigh v Wigan Wigan by 2
Wakefield v Leeds Leeds by 6
Catalans v Hull KR Catalans by 1
Hull FC v Huddersfield Hull FC by 12

Great turn out in the Comp folks but most people were reliant on the 'other' fixtures for their points in Round 1 with top spot going to the Forum's very own Roger Bannister Rugby with a decent 15 point tally. The rest of us didn't quite make the grade by varying degrees as follows,

Results and Standings

25pts Rugby
11pts Sir Adrian Morley, Lord Tony Smith, Wanderer
9pts Walter Wizard, Uncle Rico
8pts karetaker
7pts Old Man John
6pts Wire n Steel
5pts Wire Weaver, eddieH, mcraven, MorePlaymakersNeeded, Hatfield Town Wire
4pts Matt King's kitten, Mr Snoodle, Captain Hook, Gaz3376, Alffi_7, Longbarn Wire, Fourpointtry, Builth Wells Wire
3pts CW8, Douglas Black, Johnkendal, Moving Forward
2pts rubber duckie

My predictions didn’t save. No consolation knowing I predicted the wire win a try scorer and results.

no disrespect to Swinton as I quite enjoyed their performance but I'm not sure that our next opponents in the Challenge Cup will be degoutant leur pantelon but you never know we might just be lulling them and everyone else into a false sense of security

Well that 'top drawer' performance caught all of us out on here was it a point gained or a point lost or are we still asking what is the point?

a) Score and Winning team: Hull FC 14 v 14 Warrington

d) Last try (any team, player not time): Mamo
e) Kicks over the sticks (combined): 6 kicks

Castleford v Leigh Castleford by 36
St Helens v Wakefield St Helens by 28
Hull KR v Huddersfield Hull KR by 1
Catalans v Salford Catalans by 36

For the benefit of the team and at the expense of losing out on the Prediction Competition star prize (3 months all inclusive in Talacre) every time I've backed against us on here we come up trumps thankfully more Judd than Donald so might takeover Prediction Matt duties as he's MIA.

a) Score and Winning team: Catalans 8 v 24 Warrington
b) First try (Wire player):Currie
c) Time of first try: 26 mins
d) Last try (any team, player not time): Widdop
e) Kicks over the sticks (combined): 6

f) Wigan v Castleford - Wigan by 10
Huddersfield v St Helens - St Helens by 8
Hull KR v Leeds - Hull KR by 20
Salford v Leigh - Salford by 26
Hull FC v Wakefield - Hull FC by 6

This week's topper-most of the popper-most is karetaker with 13 points well done to you and the rest that had a bit more faith than Uncle Rico and others in the glass half empty camp/ woe is me gang (there was quite a few in that category).
