Saints were the better team overall, but not a lot in it. I found both teams cancelled each other out, and it wasn't the game it could have been.

One of the most craziest posts I’ve read on here. Was you drunk watching the game?

I haven't got sky, apart from sky mix which didn't show it , but should be able to watch the highlights on BBC.

If you don’t rate that game, you don’t rate rugby league. I’m sat here gutted but as a man who has been at every Grand Final bar one until tonight, that was the best one I’ve seen. I’ve never seen two teams quite as stubborn and unwilling to break as that tonight in the history of the Grand Finals. We lost to two penalties and an unlucky bounce from a drop goal hitting the post and that summed up our defence tonight. I don’t think they’d have broke us with ball in hand if they’d played for a month.

Maybe we like different things. I wasn't thrilled by it, the same as the last world cup final. If others thought it was best game ever, then they're entitled to think so, and I'm fine with that,
It just wasn't my cup of tea.

The Australian GF and SoO series games contained more than just two defensive sides cancelling out any skill with ball in hand.

I can understand both sides of the argument, with regards to last night.
I enjoy a slugfest as much as the next man, but after 50 minutes, I was praying for someone to break the deadlock, just to change the game's outlook. A game for the purist, yes, but we do watch to see tries.
It put me in mind of the NYD Derby at Wigan in 87, where the game was decided by a solitary Cullen try, in dreadful conditions. 30 men not giving an inch, back in m the days when it was only a 5yd ptb.

What an awful bore fest slug fest that turned out to be, dire.

A pots for rags finale to a pots for rags season.

Just imagine if six games a week for every week of an entire season turned out like that.

Old Trafford breathed a sigh of relief :D
