Anyone going to watch the RU World Cup? : Fri Sep 18, 2015 8:33 am
Now we are at the start of wall-to-wall coverage (over radio and TV) of the RU bore-a-thon, juust curious as to how many on here will be tuning in?

Usually the games involving the teams from the South Sea islands prove watchable (as they play the game in a more RL-style) and it will be interesting to see how Sam B goes if he gets a game, (if only to hear the posh boys crowing as to how he shouldn't have been picked in the first place).

Thoughts?

With us being the better side these days, we are licking our lips at inflicting more misery on Wire in the coming derby. I expect a fairly straight forward win.
Wire 44 - 6 Widnes

Read this yesterday: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... clash.html

One more reason why that boring shat and it's vindictive governing body won't be getting any social currency from me.

If its a choice between "The Thugs" & Saints or the World cup . It will not be the World cup.

It's going to be hard to avoid it. Radio 5 Live is already becoming super tedious with it's constant coverage , and it hasn't bloody started yet!

This tournament has been given blanket coverage in the national press for weeks now. The Guardian this morning couldn't even be bothered to publish the result of last night's game Leeds vs Cas. Those watching the games, unless they are RU fanatics will be very disappointed when it turns out to be 30 dubiously fuelled muscle bound freaks trying to kill one another and will be of very little entertainment value.

I'll probably watch the England games, more for the excuse of going out with a few mates to the pub if I'm being honest.
