Seems a bit of a strange one this squad announcement. There's no fullbacks in there, plus only one winger and he's out for the season. I know this isn't for the match against France, but it seems a bit pointless to me.

Marie Fasavuloo should not be in the GB squad, he aint british and it totally makes a mockery of international RL.

I really hate the fact that he is taking a REAL brits place in the squad.

Its also a bit worrying from a Warrington point of view that not a single one of those players was produced by an amateur club in Warrington!!!!

Even London amateur side Greenwich Admirals have produced one player, the nearest we get is Mozza produced in Eccles!!!!

This might give you some explanation:

Smith said: "The first group of players are a mixture of youth and experience from a number of different clubs.

"I believe the players selected so far reflect that not only are we planning for this autumn's Four Nations tournament but also the 2013 World Cup, which we hope to stage in this country.

"More players will be added to the programme throughout the season and the aim is to provide an elite training environment for a wide range of players from a variety of different clubs who, in turn, will benefit from their players being involved.
