I have never understood why we sing this when we play in primrose and blue not yellow and blue and the cup final is August not May so we sound like we are barking mad by still continuing to sing this song!!!

So how about

''She wore a primrose ribbon in the merry month of August''
or does this not roll off the tongue too well!!!!

And when I asked her why she wore that ribbon,

She said well the Wires are going to Wembley, so now you mention it I really should have bought a primrose one instead.

Can't wait to sing this song (the real one) when we have a convincing lead in the second half of our Challenge Cup semi final.

I always thought it was a homage to the 1940's film "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" by John Ford starring John Wayne.

Nah we have got the mini bus leaving from Tetleys, bit far for us lot down the M62 on our scooters with all them maniac drivers!
