Wind farm giant Vestas, whose UK arm is based in Warrington, is cutting 600 out of 1,100 UK employees, blaming difficulties in gaining planning permission and lack of government support. Vestas-Celtic Wind Technology Limited manufactures wind turbines at Machrihanish near Campbeltown In Scotland, but runs its UK sales and service operation from Birchwood Park and the company is the shirt sponsor of rugby league club Warrington Wolves. http://www.crainsmanchesterbusiness.co. ... 99993/1007 If they can't do business in the UK whats the point in them sponsoring the Wire???? Think we could be looking for a new sponsor at this rate!

Apparently a Tokyo based financial institution were in line to become our new sponsor. Unfortunately the Origami Bank folded before the start of the season.

Yeah but nobody has mentioned it on here. No statement has been made by the club but I have heard whispers that something is not right, watch this space.

What differene does it make if they operate in the UK or not? Plenty of football teams have foreign-based sponsors.
