Poor quality game, not helped by the weather.

5 drives and a (disappointing) kick from both teams throughout.

A draw would probably have been a fair result had Hicks landed the final conversion (which was probably easier than the two he'd kciked earlier?!) although Salford were probably the better of two poor sides today.

Decent turn-out from Wire fans although the poor quality, low score and edgey atmopshere didn't really lend itself to loud vocal support.

Who did we buy that is injured ,we have signed Mathers who was free so we didn't buy him I can't think of anyone we have paid for so please enlighten us.
As for Briers ,As I have posted before we should be able to play without Briers if we cannot our squad is not good enough ,Saints beat Wigan without Long so there Squad is good enough,At the end of the day we are still suffering from the Cullen effect who brought in the wrong players for years Both Andersons ,King ,monaghan,Gleeson,Reardon all under perform and are still under performing Briers isn't exactly setting the world alight is he.
GIVE SMITH TIME HE WILL BRING US TO THE FRONT AS THE NEXT DOMINANT FORCE IN SUPER LEAGUE THAT IS ONE THING I AM CONFIDENT OFF ,BUT IT WON'T HAPPEN OVER NIGHT KEEP THE FAITH !
