Some of the stuff i heard yesterday was quite eye opening regarding certain goings on at our club.

I know most fans speculate, and things can become chinese whisper like, but there were way too many things said too many times to at least not carry some weight.

Theres someone or some players at the heart of this cancer in our club who must be ushered out asap.

Apparently it's common knowledge throughout RL

Expect high name casualties to leave the club if this is true, TS will not shirk his responsibilities at the Wire and will do whatever it takes to transform the club into genuine title contenders

The main reason that I don't pay much attention to rumours is because of how easy it is to start them and spread them these days.

In the past people would pick rumours up in the pub when they met up, or at the ground on matchday. Nowadays, the internet and text messaging means that a rumour can be made up and spread in minutes.

It stuns me how many people have seen the likes of Bridge, Briers and Gleeson up to all sorts.
Perhaps I walk round with my eyes shut, but my dealings with players have only ever been professional (apart from on the pitch!). I go to town like many others, but have only ever seen a couple of players a couple of times. Of course I have had friends who have 'seen' things like most other people.

I just try not to get involved with spreading rumours and leave it to the club to sort. I have faith in TS.

There's a bloke who lives on t our street. Never goes to matches. In fact, he rarely leaves the house. Only ever to go to the shops or for an occasional venture into town.
Now, I like him, he's a really nice bloke, but he 'knows' a lot for someone who doesn't go the matches. He always has an opinion of the game based upon the result and is always ready with a nugget of gossip of who was drunk as a monkey in town at the weekend and who has had a falling out with whom.

I have specific 'sources' that I'd believe, I've heard one or two things directly from former players that really disappoint me about the goings on at our club.

Something is obviously going on but I bet most of these rumours are way off the mark. With the team being as bad as it is people will believe anything they hear.

hence my question ...............I agree with most that a lot of the rumours are just that ...................speculation !

It's interesting that these rumours all but disappear when we are playing well, but surface in huge numbers when we are poor. Things are obviously not 'right', people have lost their jobs on the back of this. Funny how the regular scapegoats aren't the objects of the rumours though.
