I know that this is a popular opinion at the moment, but IMO it is not the way to go.

There is clearly an issue, but the answer isn't to give up on these players, the answer is to sort the issue. If that means getting rid of a couple of players, or having it out with the squad, whatever, that is Smith's job, and I have faith in him to do it.

When people say drop the whole squad, you are tarring everybody with the same brush.

I have not seen anything which would require Hicks, Gleeson, Morley, Higham, Clarke, Mitchell etc get dropped.

The issues will not be sorted by dropping everyone.

Just imagine if the academy lads played and were beaten like they were against Wigan, when it was men against boys. Real confidence boost, that would be. Especially when we hear the "same old wire" catcalls from disgruntled fans fed up of watching a losing team.

good point. well said. totally agree.
just one question " are that reserve team all british by any chance? " to me that is the big root of the 1st team squad, foreign burglars.

I wouldn't say the whole squad, but the vast majority definitely.
