Some of the 1 on 1 defence there would embarass an under 11s team. But the effort, body language and reaction to their scores just screams APATHY.

Despite all that, if we'd finished off the collectors item that was the Williams break we'd have been home and hosed - not that it would have resolved the core problems.

Watch King just stand idly by for Wakefield the cross field kick try in the first half, then the appalling tackle attempt in the 2nd half where they scored. Why is he not dropped? He offers nothing.

Blimey you lot get carried away. Trinity were the better team all game IMHO. However you only lost due to an astonishing tackle from young Murphy (future international at this rate and probably the fastest in SL at present). Had he not made that tackle you'd have won. I think you and a few other clubs need to accept that SL has tightened up and the margins are slim. Even Toulouse can give most teams a game, just turning up won't do it anymore.

You have the talent but they are living on reputation at present, I feel for Powell. A man I know and don't especially like but he is all the same a very good coach.

Went to watch the airshow at RAF Cosford yesterday and there wasn't a decent data signal to keep tabs on the game. Turned out to be a good thing as it would have ruined a very good day at the air show.

I really don't know what the answer is to this situation. I feel a bit sorry for Powell in that he's got the record for turning clubs around but may have met his match in Warrington. Sacking him now won't help anything, unless we are in serious danger of relegation (and I don't think we're there yet). We'll just end up with another false dawn as an unproven NRL coach struggles to do anything with us. I just have a sneaky feeling that a shaken-up squad with a fresh start next year (and much lower expectations and less pressure) will help Powell get the best out of us. The problem is whether the catastrophe of this season will be accepted by the fans and the board.

Since I don't have the answers I'm not going to go through the same old moans like I normally would. I'll sit back and relax, and wait as patiently as I can for the start of the '23 season. Like most catastrophes, it's probably not one major cause, it's a multitude of smaller reasons that have built up over the years and combined in such a way to create the perfect storm. We need a Steve Jobs style resurrection of the club.

We have conceded 162 points in the last 5 games and not won since April. It's more than just a tackle.

In truth there is little more we can do. No one forces us to go to the games.

I meant on that one game. It's all very tight.

Evidence strongly points to it being a player/cultural problem. Get red of the chaff and judge Powell when he has his players working under his culture. Get rid of Powell and the lazy booty/complacent/don't give a monkeys players who don't give a damn about our club have won.

Doesn't the fact that he dropped 2 of his own signings show that letting him get his own team in time, may be a problem in itself.

Perhaps he doesn't want to show bias. It's certainly not all straight forward and Powell certainly hasn't been perfect with his selection of players he's dropped/kept playing. But I still have faith in him to improve things medium to long term.

If there's a general squad-wide attitude issue then a fair chunk of those players will still be here next year. In any workplace, you have characters who are more vocal than others - when those voices become disruptive or threaten unity then management has to come down hard and establish authority. You can't sack everyone, or ship them out en masse - but you can, and MUST, let them know who is in charge.

And this seems to be the crux of the issue. Powell is struggling to command respect, and thus buy-in.

This is a good point. At this moment in time, the balance of power is still weighed in favour of the players as there are obviously quite a few who aren't willing to change and they're perhaps negatively influencing less senior players to varying degrees.

This balance will hopefully change as the playing staff change but while they're here this season, we're going to have to ride it out.

Rumours about three Aussie signings and having so many players out of contract doesn't help the confidence of the players. However I refuse to believe that members of the World Cup squad have become bad players overnight. Baffling and inconsistent team selection, playing like headless chickens and woeful defence can only be put down to poor man mangement and coaching. It's easy to criticise players and we all have our "favourites". Powell's signings (excluding the injured } have not so far resulted in rave reviews and I'm not crazy about the Catalan pair. It's clear he'll see the season out but it's blatantly obvious it's chaos behind the scenes.

Clicked on the link to hear ewan mcgregor saying lemons lemons lemons, thought he was critiquing our squad, turns out it was an advert for expedia before the highlights. The defence was absolutely shocking!

That gives me an idea. Has anyone got an R2 unit they can send with a Princess Leia plea of "help me Obi-wan Kenobi you're are only hope"?
