That's an interesting statement. Not that I am advocating a change of coach but I seem to remember when Hendo was in charge of London he got good performances out of his squad and they played a reasonably expansive style of rugby. I can only assume it is Price who is dictating a five drives and a kick tedium. When Widdop gets on the pitch and up to speed it will be interesting to see if we open up a bit more as there will be no Patton blame game allowed.

I'll certainly need something to get me through 80 minutes in freezing weather watching Patton crabbing, doing telegraphed drop off passes, getting caught in possession and wellying it out on the full. LSD or smack washed down with port n lemon might just do it.

Seems all very cloak and dagger given the rumours about him being injured a few weeks back... ‘rolling his ankle’ nah not having it..

But he's been training with the first team all week, so if he was injured at all he wouldn't have been training.

Quite clearly those images were photoshopped. If you couldn't tell that was Gareth Widdops head on Ben Westwoods body there is no helping you.

Here's a scenario for you - Patton in the halves means that Austin tries even harder to make things happen and make us fans happy. Widdop is 1 week from coming back and Austin takes a risk going through a gap that's not really there, gets clattered/injured and is then out himself for 6 weeks.....season over!

Here's a scenario for you. First game of the season vs Wigan. Patton is feeding the scrum, when the scrum collapses and George Burgess falls on him. Patton is ruled out for 5 months injured. THAT COULD HAVE BEEN WIDDOP!!! Season saved.
