I think some Hull fans are getting a but carried away for Longstaff, he has done well, works hard and has a real eye for a try, particularly from a kick, however he needs bulk up as can get dominated in attack and defence.

I'd definitely keep him at Hull next year though.

Future captain

But seriously, he's come in and brought energy and thrown himself into it. Can't ask more from a young kid on loan

If we can work something out I'd like him to stay

I think Powell is right about Longstaff to be fair.

Hull have got a much larger pack so a smaller Longstaff type player would complement the side better.

Next year would have perhaps been better for Longstaff here at Warrington with the larger incoming forwards. But we have Nicholson now, so I can see him staying at Hull and good luck to him too, I wish him well.

With the brief that Powell says he has has been given by our board, he can`t afford to wait for Longstaff to gain the muscle mass, that he will probably achieve.

Longstaff rightly wants regular 1st team games now, but sadly it looks like it won`t be at Warrington.

Some fans were rightly raising issues about our small pack and at the same time raising issues about why Longstaff wasn't playing. Its understandable but unfortunate at the same time.

i dont think muscle mass is the issue, he's just too short for me, put some size on him you've got another matt davis.

You know how everyone complains about your 6ft 3, 16 stone transferrable players? longstaff isn't gonna fit in that category, ever.

i dont remember them comments at all, i remember him being a shining light in a struggling bradford team circling the plug hole of relegation and financial crisis, and him putting himself about A LOT in games taking on big name players.

Something that longstaff hasn't done.

I said this months ago, i dont get why people have put him on this pedestal, other than he wasn't jack hughes(or latterly oli holmes) on the pitch he hasn't done much to make people sit up and take notice.

I remember the concerns of various people that whilst he was a dominant player at Bradford, would he be able to do the same consistently in Superleague. I'm sure the same comments were made when he signed for Canberra.
He was able to prove he could.
Belief and commitment are important attributes for players, many players with the build and skills don't make it whilst others less blessed do. What I have seen of Longstaff at Warrington and now Hull I believe he is well worth the club continuing to invest in him. He provides something different which is important in a squad. You seem to disagree, that's OK.
