If you've watched the Lions DVD, you can see what a presence he has. He's very vocal in the GB dressing room that's packed with Fielden, Peacock, Cunningham et al who at the time were all leaders in their own right. He'll give our dressing room another voice, some know how, and a CV to back himself up. He's another who's been to the NRL and earnt their respect, at Newcastle he was a sensation.
On the pitch, who knows what form he's in, fitness, mental, who knows, but I'm guessing Smith will have an idea, he's not a mug, like he wasn't a mug taking Shane Millard toLeeds, or bringing Mathers here. He'll see a part that Carney has to play, great stuff.
I think it could be a great piece of business.
If Penny is still training with us too, he & Riley will learn alot about wing play from him.
