The WG gives the attendance for the Cas game as 8,483, which is worryingly low. That's already 1,000 down on the Hull FC game, and 500 lower than any Super League attendance at the Hj in 2023. Admittedly, Friday night games against Yorkshire opposition don't help, but those figures are still disappointing. Is the TV factor having an impact already?

Cas didn’t bring too many fans. We reckoned about 130-150, and also wondered if the extra TV coverage this season impacted on the total. There were quite a few seats empty in the North stand.

Early days yet but I agree a little concerning.

I think the fans are pi$$ed with the way the past 3 seasons have gone.

My son is one of them, he hasn`t bought a season ticket this year and he has had one all the time going back to the Wilderspool days.

He is still following us through the media, and a successful spell of results should bring him back into the fold.

A good question which has many factors to consider. The weather, TV, apathy given we weren't great against Leigh, Catalans, nor Hull FC are just three. Worrying it is, but the performance against Cas was better and will help. Money is still tight and that has an effect on non season ticket walk ups. Does anyone know how season ticket sales compare with 2023?

You mean he didn’t want to go see the nice doggies walking around the pitch. I was once told fan experience was more important not the results

Every game being on TV is definitely not going to help attendances for sure.....let's just hope those who didn't go have heard rumours about the new half time domestic appliance challenge, that should bring them flocking back

I think it's this exactly. It's been dark times at the HJ for the last 2 years of Price and the Powell era.

Also I would add the experience (no not the gimmicks) but the basics like food and drink vending, toilets, etc could improve matters.

As others have said its not just the on field product keeping people away, but also yes, the fact every game is televised. But since we made a 'fuss' about the HJ turning 20 last week (OK, wheeled out Ben Westwood and Paul Wood at HT) the old girl needs some renovations. Everything looks crap. The white bits are dirty or rusty, the roof is mossed over, the flags all tattered, the scoreboard doesn't work, the kiosks are sheeyite (5 mins before kickoff against Hull and they had no hot dogs ready?!) and for the prices they charge you'd like to see some of that going back into the club by smartening up the ground. The whole match day 'experience' is a bit naff of late. I don't go for wolfie or half time games, but the entire thing is all just a bit worn out.
