Mathers is one of the most enthusiastic players in Super League, that I can give him credit for.
But Riley seems to be a very attacking-minded fullback who may make mistakes but can often redeem himself by making a decent break/backing up to finish off a try etc. From his time at Wigan, I can't say I remember seeing Mathers make a break or finish off/be involved a break by being support...1 try and 1 try assist in his whole Wigan career tells it all. Also, in defence he seems to be lacking alot of confidence.
In the reserves, he performed better when playing at stand off.
He comes across a sound lad and the right attitude and hope he can find form at Warrington.
