Seems Chases contract was heavily laden with bonuses relating to winning trophies and getting MoM awards to avoid the salary cap.

As it was for various other recent departures.

All allegedly of course.

Surely bonuses count on the salary cap otherwise teams that actually win trophies could have used that one?

And if you were going to sign for Salford and they said low basic but look at what you get if we win trophies wouldn't you be a bit sceptical about the offer...?

So we've made an official inquiry?? TS is thinking of playing Chase and Sandow together in halves with Gidley at full back ,could it work ? It would surely be entertaining

We have not made enquiries into Chase.
Don't you think if we had, it would have be all over the Docs twitter account saying so? And some choice words telling us what we can do!?

You would think so but not. 'Prize money' and MoM payments are excluded. Check it under the RFL rules.

It is rather open to manipulation.
