I do like the way that you're discussing stuff on the belief that Orford is signing, yet still choose to open the way to blame me if it doesn't happen.

It's especially funny that it was you who broke the story on the LT forums as an "exclusive", a couple of days after it had been mentioned on here though

Wind your neck in Cockers.

I (FWIW) believe you about Orford. I think its the Orford camp who are probably misleading people as technically they should not have been in negotiations with other parties.

Ive read it in the aussie press over the last couple of weeks.

Check out Fox Sports, they always have lots of quotes.

Orfords manager did say that they have had good offers from England but they were still hopeful of sorting something with Manly. Now that is either a load of old misleading tosh or cockers is a lying twerp.

You decide :D

Or it's his manager trying to 'talk up' his contract? Y'know, "We'd like to stay with Manly if possible" wink wink, could mean "We'd like an extra zero on that contract, por favor, Mr Moran."

Contacts of mine in Ockerland are adamant (the adjective, not the singer) that he is on his way to England, with Warrington being the only name on people's lips on the northern beaches.

Problem with someone like Orford is he isnt going to be here long term, what his he now? 30-31?

We should move heaven and earth for Myler at Salford, only 18 and wouldn't take a wedge of salary cap like someone like Orford would.

Looks like the pies are keeping tabs on Myler now aswell

Sorry - have I missed something?
Has there been an announcement about Briers?
Or is it rumour he's going?
Or - more likely - wishful thinking?

The Barrow rumour has resurfaced in a National Newspaper, in a varying form.

The Guardian has reported that he hasn't negiotated conctracts yet with Warrington and Briers has been quoted as saying He'd like to stay, but it's up to Tony Smith.

See, if Cullen was here, I'd have seen a job for life for Briers at Warrington, on the coaching staff, like. You can never be too sure now there's a new Sherriff in town, but I suspect if Briers was to get a coaching role at Warrington, he'd be here longer than Smith's initial contract.

He said: “Obviously it’s always in the back of your mind but I’ve just been trying to concentrate on my rugby and I’ve not thought too much about it.

“It would be nice to stay at Warrington but the club might want to go in a different direction, you never know. We haven’t started to talk about it yet.”

Very positive reading this, especially the second paragraph. Even if he does sign for another year (sigh), you wouldn't have expected his career here would ever be in doubt while Cullen was here.
