Still seems weird to see Briers on TV for the NRL Grand Final. When you look at Briers in the NRL, Price getting big raps as assistant back at Cronulla, and our club seemingly no further forward (if anything further back) than when they were here, it makes you realise the rot had very little to do with the coaching structure.

Hopefully Burgess can tear it all down. We don't need tweaking, we need re-inventing.

Yes I agree, but that`s what Powell tried to do but was met by wholesale opposition by out senior players.

Burgess is a much younger man with new ideas and with his coaching career in front of him so hopefully he won`t be worn down by the job like Powell was.

Not often you see Nathan Cleary totally outplayed. Ezra Mam has really risen to the occasion.

Fantastic game and performance from Penrith to bring it home. But it also had a huge level of utter farce in how Brisbane conceded their points. 14 of Penrith's points came from utterly stupid goal line drop outs. Where has this idea that they're a good idea come from? They are a hail mary, a play you go for when you are desperate. When they were 4 points up in the closing minutes, the commentators said they had to go short? Why? It's utterly mindless. Reynolds could get the ball over the half way line and instead give Penrith a penalty in front of the posts. Beyond stupid.
