In all probability that ball touched a blade of grass. It's unfortunate on Mellor who made a great effort to prevent the try but I think it had to be given.

Hull KR have been good for this lead, they played much faster and made ground a lot better.

Nah. Without the live call there is no where for the video ref to go go when (as is often the case) the video angle is inconclusive.. exactly the same with the cricket reviews - imperfect but way better that not having it.

The VR doesn't need anywhere to go from. He shouldn't be led by one guy who saw everything happen in the space of a single second, when the VR has a ton of angles and looks at it. Tell me that Thaler would have given that if he had full autonomy over that decision. You can tell he doesn't want to give it.

The video evidence is still indecisive though isn't. The on the field call gives a consistent method the deal with that.

Parcell made contact with the referee when complaining about that try. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him cop a ban.
