What is this shooting out of the line and nailing a player you refer to. I have seen plenty of shooting out of the line followed by the opposition going in at the corner....Not a nailed player lying anywhere!!

How about a variation on the usual kick to the corner for the winger? The old fashioned up n under to the posts should be brought back where more players are available to attack the line.

Usually I would disagree with this, but with our current wingers they are no more specialist at catching kicks than anyone else. And at worst, you get a good chance to smash the fullback, which for Barba/Tomkins etc could take something away from them in attack.

When you have a Monaghan/King it’s right to kick to them, when you’ve got Matty Magoo Russell there’s little point kicking it to him.

I've seen lineham and Atkins out jump defences over and over.
Atkins looks to be returning to the right wing, I don't think he ever played there since at Wire.
So two good in the air on either flank.

Atkins Next to russel should strengthen Russell's obvious defensive incapabilities and putting Goodwin inside Lineham should release tom into a bit of space where he can utilise his speed and finishing.

And before anyone laughs at 'Lineham' and 'speed' in the same sentence, I ask you to cast your memory back the end of 2016. Lineham's pace to chase a breakaway opposition player was invaluable. He did it in the LLS clincher against hull and also in the GF a few times. The lad has serious pace but with atkins inside him he was never going to be able to show that.

Well when I was up at Wakefield and there was talk of him returning back to Wakey following a loss of form here,(BTW a great away day) the fans there said he played at right centre and on the wing for them.

Pretty sure Atkins has played at right Centre for us in his early days as I’ve been watching old matches on YouTube and remember being surprised to see Atikins there... unless it was a move mid-game or him popping up out of position to score (like he did often with Riley on the left a la 2012 Cup Final).

I can only ever remember him at left centre when he was with us.

I was surprised to see how good Lineham’s stats are overall. On paper he’s worth every penny of his fee... it’s just that in 2016 he got dropped allegedly for attitude, and in 2017 he only stood out when the team was on a losing streak (seems to play better when angry and desperate to score).

The thing that miffed me about Lineham was his commitment at the end of last season. He just looked uninterested in the 8s and got waltzed past and brushed off by lower division players. Shaun Wane wouldn’t be having that and nether am I...

Fresh start though, and he’ll be wanting to prove to Steve Price that he has a future as a highly paid player at Warrington. No way will he command a top salary at another club based on his Warrington showings, but if he can rediscover his dream team 2015 form he’ll be great outside Goodwin and also from Roberts’ 30 metre cruise missile passes.
