This is true, and tbh, the more I think obout it, Warrington would probably be the ideal place. Leeds and Saints arent in the market for a scrum half, so that leaves the next tier of clubs and im sure he would prefer to work under Tony Smith than someone like Richard Agar or Brian Noble.

I certainly wasn't expecting a positive post there. Fully agree with you there

A great deal of what is said in the papers is mimicking rumours from fans forums just as these. I cannot see him leaving Salford if the deal they offer him is good enough.

As the Super League has shown you cannot automatically suggest that one team is better to stay at than another. You cannot say Warrington will do better than Salford. As each week shows. Westerman for instance, could of moved to a so called more successful club and has stayed at Castleford and they have improved a great deal. Tony Smith is a great Coach but I think Shaun MacRae is a coach Myler has a good relationship with.

WHo knows its all hearsay at the moment, Tony Smith is probably tired of being asked about this rumour and that rumour.

Now for a truly great combo; Myler at 7, Sinfield at 6.

And thinking about it; Huddersfield move for Brough, Warrington move for Myler, Salford bring Robinson back to Salford. Simples.

That's what I thought. I'm sure I read an interview where it was catagorically stated that Myler was going nowhere.

You are right I read that too......As we need backs, and we have a new coach who will want to make changes (if changes are required in his opinion). We will be linked with every back there is, so until we are told otherwise I would take it all with a pinch of salt.

Lets separate this article into speculation and fact:

Speculation
WARRINGTON are believed to be lining up an audacious end-of- season swoop for Salford's in-form scrum-half Richard Myler

Speculation, however, is rife of a big-money Wolves bid being imminent.

Rumours have been further fuelled following reports of a likely return to Australia at the end of the season for the current Warrington scrum-half Michael Monaghan.

If this is to happen, Myler whose dad Rob played for Warrington could be lined up as the ready-made replacement.

Fact
Salford bosses last week issued a "hands off" warning to any rival Super League club considering targeting Myler.

Salford have again reiterated their stance and say they are determined to keep Myler who is under contract.

Salford, are currently working on an improved deal to keep Myler, who is represented by Martin Offiah, at the Willows.

Surely the fact that Salford have issued a 'hands off' warning and are working on an improved deal make the speculation that a club is interested in signing him a fact? The only thing that is speculation is that the club is Warrington.
