I get the feeling that a new 3 year deal would see a few 'comfy' seasons for him... sometimes players just be like that.
Also interesting how we get that kind of attitude when we are a 'nearly but not quite' team. It didn't happen when we were serious contenders.
We had a lot of those kind of players in the Cullen era, who had come from big teams where they had won trophies. Then it stopped in the early peak days of Tony Smith, then after losing the 2013 Grand Final and the big guns departures we started getting Asotasi and co.
I wonder whether some players who know they have talent, subconsciously slack off when they know they aren't part of a team who is really competing at the top. Especially if they've been part of a winning set up before, they recognise when standards are a bit lower and they can get away with comfort zone.
I wonder if BMM would have been more consistent with us if he'd played for us 8 years earlier. I also wonder what Solomona would have been like if he played for us now.
