From the short spells I saw of him he was very impressive in the 9s, his 1vs1 defending was very good for a prop. He’s not the biggest unit going but you can tell he’s athletic, strong and a good competitor, he would definitely push Cooper or Hill out of the starting line-up.

Indeed. You could have Cooper and Philbin coming off the bench. The days of 4 quality props would be back again.

I don't remember seeing him at all? Should get to see him properly in the next few weeks, Fingers crossed we make a serious play for him

If we do pull this signing out of the bag it will instantly lift the mood regarding our forwards and next season will look a lot brighter. I certainly didn’t expect us to sign a forward of his calibre!

I agree with your comment on the differences. To counter the second part of your post - I don't think we are looking for squeaky clean role models for the club. I mean one of our legends had oral sex with a dog. What sort of message did that convey?

To be honest I would be OK with a war criminal XIII if they won the league championship.

He's an excellent player. He averages over 90 metres per game off the bench. Runs and tackles hard and always gives 100%. He's been one of the most consistent players for the last 2 years for the best team in the world. It would be a coup.
