presumably because they do fair good job of creating half gaps for them to exploit, and also french and field create their own opportunities,

dufty could/should be doing more off his own back.

I don't think it's pace per se that is the issue. It's how they pull you out of defensive shape.

i dunno, their major complaint at the moment is smith isn't creating anything, whoever is playing 6 isn't doing a lot either, i think they mainly get opportunities from defensive switch offs, also field and french can exploit half a gap better than most players, this is what i mean with dufty, he's got the acceleration, so make better use of it.

Yes, I meant those three players pull you out of defensive shape cos there is panic as soon as they get in any space at all. Their overall team is pretty poor, I think. Imagine if we had Cust and Smith lol.

In terms of sheer speed over short and long distances I'd suggest Matty Ashton is as quick and quite possibly quicker than all those mentoned but oppositions fear Field and French because they capitalize on any mistake or defensive switch off and are incredibly strong.
They also turn up in many different positions on the field so they are really hard to defend against.
At the end of the day it's about defensive concentration and keeping the right shape. Easier said than done.

If we give the same amount of space to field and French as we gave to Kevin naquaima last week we will be in serious trouble! Just pretend we're playing catalans away and we'll be fine

I suppose you could call that creative play & creative coaching. In a game where all teams should play to the same rules ,thinking outside the box is a game changer.
