Not really the same thing though, is it? Bergkamp was already an established international, with nearly 250 club appearances in the Netherlands and Italy when Arsenal signed him, so it wasn't like Rioch had unearthed a secret gem. Whereas Field had played only a handful of NRL games when Wigan picked him up.

I don’t know why there is fear of Field and French and add Marshall.
We have Ashton Dufty Thewlis that have as much pace.
