We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Serious question but I thought Powell waa changing the culture by having a clear out last year?

What has changed between the first 10 games and now? Is it culture or confidence?

There's a split in the camp with the way the McGuire "incidents" were handled. Seems there were splits in the camp last year too, and Powell hasn't been able to heal rifts. Instead, he's shipped out a lot of players rather than change culture and attitudes to bring groups of players together and become a team. Team selection has been baffling, and there are other problems. We had a easy looking fixture list to start off the season, which made us look good, as results against Wigan & Saints proved we weren't the real deal. Were back to square one, looking like a team heading towards the championship, as we did in 2022, rather than GF contenders..

In that case is the problem Powell, or is it Fitzpatrick? We saw what this squad full of confidence and pulling in the same direction can do.

The decline seemed to predate McGure’s #2 discretion though?

End of the day, Powell came to us saying the culture needed to change, one of two things has happened, he wasn’t the right man to do it, or he hasn’t been allowed to due to those above him…. Only Moran & Middleton can make that call.

The obvious coach replacement would be Paul Rowley who can garner team spirit and gets his team's playing exciting rugby... The fact that Salford are financially imploding seemingly at the moment would make him susceptible to a move I suspect

Can I just say that whoever comes in and whoever is to blame; Powell, players, board etc etc….the Powell era has been the least enjoyable period of watching the Warrington RLFC circus in 40+ years. That takes some doing.

you have to ask yourself, who would want to coach this club? feels like any coach with a 'proven' record is coming for a quick payday and a sharp exit now.

we have nothing to lose now..... the fans just want to club back now. Enough of this pantomime.

Monaghan, Briers... I would be more then happy with a new untried coach.. someone with some history and love for the club... someone the fans and the players will respect... that's what's needed now.

Therein lies the problem. These players think they elite athletes at the peak of their sport, and that the world, and the club owes them a living.

Wayne Bennett could walk through the door and they'd probably sulk because he growled at them in training.

ok.. so MAYBE, Powell cutting all the players he did was 100% needed... a Briers or a Monaghan couldn't have come in and done that.

But now that they are gone (sure we still have some to get rid off).. A new coach can come in, recruit a few of his own and all of a sudden, we aren't in such a bad position.... The club needed a hatchet man.. His time is now up... Maybe he was never going to succeed after being so ruthless and upsetting so many.

But maybe the ground is alot smoother for the next coach.

I sure hope so.
