I wasn't watching in 86 but the most confident I've been as a Wire fan before TS arrived was late 1989 and early 1994. In those days I looked at the fixture list and if it wasn't Wigan I thought we would probably win. If it was Wigan I would think, we've got a chance, but we're underdogs.
Now I look at the fixture list and think whoever we play, we should win, with the disclaimer that, if we have an 'off day', then we are vulnerable to anybody in the top 8 and above.
