Anyway it makes more sense to do it first thing in the morning, it will be easier to fill up a bottle when you first wake up, than when dehydrated after a game.

It does but not as often as my mid 20s when it was virtually guaranteed

If the testing is done the same as athletics then all players will have to give their whereabouts for 1 hour every week.

So Atkins may very well have said he will be at home betweek 6:00 and 7:00 every Sat morning. And the testers are within their rights to turn up at that time.

Same happened to Langley of the Bulls at 6.30am. Langley didn't play though, he was taken ill on the bus.

As a member of the England elite squad, Atkins & Langley are subject to random drugs tests. When better to test them than early morning when if they had taken something the night before, it would still be in their system?
