The rule came in beginning of last season, at first kicking team got ball back, then it was non kicking teams feed, then they changed it again to kicking side.
Some of ref books i got say non kicking team feed, others say kicking team feed depending on when they were published.
If worked well, like last night, rule will make ur fans say great rule, if you balls up ur fans say bloody idiot why did he do that.

You must tap it and kick it in one go tho, you cannot pass it for someone else to do, the amount of players ive had shouting in my face cos they reckon theyre right is unbelievable, even at u12 level.

Just hope no one tells Clarke. I think he grabbed the ball off monaghan to kick a penalty to touch at featherstone and missed. He's looked a much better player in the last two games IMO though

What?

You have always been able to kick from a tap (the ball is touching your foot). At the start of last year they added the rule (from Australia) that if you did this from a 20m restart you would get the put in. They didn;t add it, then remove it, then add it in again.
