Union is played by people who close airports after a bit of snow, League is played by people who would go and have a snowball fight with a 747

I'd be more than happy with no Morley in the list if Fielden wasn't in there and he was replaced by someone young and decent.

I've always thought, pound for pound (£), that Fielden has been the worst signing in Super League.

Sadly gotta agree. Looked like he was getting back to his oldself at the end of last year when he almost got in the england side but hes been awful start of this season. It annoys when people say "hes done ok the last few weeks" on the money hes on he shud be doing more than ok.

But anyhows back to England,,,, :D

Nothing questionable about Clough he is certainly ready for it and I think would perform well, Hargreaves as decent a player as he is I dont think will ever be England standard and too soon for Wheeler - he isn't even a regular in the first team yet.

I think O'Loughlin is a decent player and should be in there but whether he should be captain? not sure there

So you agree with all but one?

I think Morley still has a bit more to offer before we end his international career. The lack of captain material in that list would certainly mean Morley would be a good choice.

All but two - Clough and O'Loughlin.

I've already said, the questionable call was having him as captain

So he should too. The likes of Senior, Wellens, Sinfield, Wilkin and co should not be anywhere near that squad ever again.

I believe Wellens is having a stand out season in 2009, and would love to see him at full back for Wire this year. I'd also like to see Sinfield pull on the PnB jersey either this year or next. Am I misguided in thinking these are class players that would improve our squad? Is it still fashionable to deride players just because they play for rival, more successful, SL sides?

Am I misguided in thinking Des was talking about the England squad?

As I was misguided in developing the argument on this forum.

I get you. It's filled with a lot of O/T stuff of late, at least this kind of concerns us, although there's no Wire players in the side, our coach is England's coach, and it is RL debate afterall, a rarity during the mid-week after a win
