He's my big diappointment this year, I thought this was going to be a massive year for him, he hasn't kicked on. He's not played well, and even for the reserves on the odd occasion I've seen them hasn't stood out. I remember pre season posting on here basically 'bigging him up', I was convinced he was going to be our dynamic forward with nimble footwork etc.

his footwork is good maybe he his just lacking that bit of confidence due to not playing as much as he wants

A big problem we have had in recent years is too many players at Warrington who are good talented players with big reputations who turn it on sporadically and are anonymous in a lot of games. They keep their reputation going with a good game every now and then but don't do it week in week out like the guys at the top clubs do. Vinnie is definitely a good player, for a guy of his physique he's got great hands, but he's exactly the type described above which is why Saints got rid, he just does it sporadically. If he's on big wages which probably is as an ex Kiwi Test player, it's worth looking elsewhere.

Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

That is it in a nutshell. If there are better players available, bring them in, if not give him another deal.
