What makes you think that?

For the last two years there have been 40k empty seats each day, so the RFL know they are in a position to be able to provide sponsors with tickets for competitions like this.

Also, giving 1 pair of tickets away is hardly a sign of poor ticket sales.

it wasnt the fact that the radio station were giving tickets away, i just think sales will be down on previous years.

I wouldn't be surprised to see lower sales than previous due to the recession, and the fact that it is really expensive in Edinburgh on the Saturday night (I have had to book for Glasgow), but I would expect there to be over 30k each day, which has to be the aim.
